CLARA ALVES is a writer and translator. With a degree in journalism from UERJ in Rio de Janeiro, she worked for years in the publishing industry before dedicating herself fully to literature. She is the author of the bestselling LGBTQIAP+ book Connected (2019), which has sold over 100,000 copies, Romance Real (2022), published in English under the title London On My Mind, and her most recent release Cupids Don't Fall in Love (2025). She has also been featured in anthologies in Brazil by Seguinte, Rocco, Galera Record, and MapaLab and has published independent works on Amazon. In addition to her literary output, she curated two consecutive editions of the Bienal do Livro book fair in Rio, with a focus on young readers. She lives in Rio de Janeiro, where she dedicates herself to writing contemporary centered on the LGBTQIAP+ community.
